School Transport Update
All our teams within the Transport Coordination Service have been, and remain, incredibly busy finalising details of school and college transport for the new term. Information has been sent to operators regarding routes and passenger lists. Many applications are still coming through, as are the different establishments or locations some children may be attending. Any updated schedules will be sent out when finalised.
For young people with any Special Educational Needs we continue to allocate routes and operators but for some, due to the complex nature of the requests, it remains work in progress. This week we are allocating any specialist equipment needed for their journey.
Information about transport arrangements and (where applicable) bus passes have been sent to entitled students – they will all been sent a copy of the attached flyer which communicates some of the key points around social distancing and behaviour on vehicles. Students have been referred to the Code of Conduct and the teams are happy to work with you on any issues at your schools or colleges.
For further information a press release was issued from DCC about school transport which sets out the details: School transport guidelines drawn up ahead of September return
